This two-day workshop will guide you through the basics of making your own plaster moulds and decorative sprigs for ceramics.You’ll learn:How to safely mix and pour plasterHow to make your own one-part slipcast mould.How to design and cast sprigs from clayHow to create a hump mould.How to use your moulds in creative ways.How to slipcast.
This workshop can at times be physically strenuous. Each workshop also includes one open studio session (Tues, Wed, or Sat, 4:30–9:30 p.m.) for follow-up work such as finishing, glazing, or slip casting. Extra charge for materials may apply.All workshops take place at the Bettystown studio and include materials unless otherwise stated.Non-refundable deposit required to hold place.
